About the Artist

Kat is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Baltimore, Maryland. With an extensive background in painting, she developed a love for bright colors and intricate textures, which are evident in her work as she expanded into the more tactile mediums of fiber arts, including embroidery, quiltwork, and garment construction. She is an observer and a collector, combining natural and abstract elements to create a sense of wonder and imagination in her 2D pieces. At the same time, her sewing practice pushes her work to connect to a 3D world.
